Insurance Portfolio Administrator at DLL

Manage insurance documentation, claims, renewals, and policy compliance for DLL’s asset finance portfolio. Work with customers, brokers, Credit, Sales, and other stakeholders to resolve coverage and documentation matters.

Description

  • Review insurance documents against acceptance standards
  • Maintain accurate insurance policy records and details
  • Process insurance policy cancellations and claims
  • Confirm documentation aligns with credit, legal, and acceptance requirements
  • Follow credit authorities, matrix approvals, system controls, and company policies
  • Respond to insurance questions, fee requests, account-status inquiries, and coverage clarifications
  • Process correspondence, identify relevant contracts, and record insurance data in the database
  • Confirm proof of insurance and update customer files
  • Coordinate internal and external claims
  • Draft and send insurance correspondence, including request and cancellation notices
  • Work with customers, brokers, agents, dealers, and vendors to resolve coverage concerns
  • Explain insurance requirements, documentation gaps, and policy deficiencies
  • Negotiate fees within approved parameters
  • Track assigned portfolios and pursue outstanding documentation
  • Arrange liability coverage for identified risks and manage force-placed insurance when required
  • Oversee policy renewals and placement in the company insurance program
  • Coordinate with Credit, Sales, and other internal teams
  • Deliver agreed service levels and KPI/ SLA targets
  • Keep records complete and accurate
  • Support special projects, departmental initiatives, and claims activities
  • Provide coverage for colleagues and other backup support as needed

Requirements

  • Customer service experience is an advantage
  • One to three years of insurance and/or leasing experience is an advantage
  • Operations experience, preferably in leasing or financing, is an advantage
  • High attention to detail with accurate data-entry skills
  • Ability to prioritize several tasks while meeting tight deadlines
  • Strong planning and organizational capabilities
  • Collaborative, proactive approach in a fast-paced workplace
  • Comfort working independently toward defined goals
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Clear written, verbal, and interpersonal communication
  • Professional handling of complex customer discussions and negotiations
  • Flexible and receptive to change
  • Availability for a hybrid schedule with two office days each week
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is an advantage
  • French bilingual ability is an advantage
  • Post-secondary education is an advantage
  • Successful completion of a background check
