HR Officer - Netherlands (Hybrid)

Support employees across the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany at Wavin, Orbia’s sustainable building and infrastructure business. Handle People Services Desk inquiries, core HR processes, and local and global projects.

Description

  • Manage, monitor, and respond to inquiries from employees, managers, and People (HR) colleagues
  • Provide support through digital channels, by phone, and in person
  • Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding
  • Prepare HR documentation
  • Process work anniversaries and other special occasions
  • Handle questions about lease cars, leave, reporting, compensation and benefits, first-line payroll, and UWV applications
  • Identify improvements and efficiency opportunities within the People team
  • Participate in internal and global projects
  • Translate global projects into local actions for the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany
  • Work within an HR back-office/People Services Desk team and alongside four HR Business Partners in the Benelux

Requirements

  • Completed higher professional education degree in Human Resource Management or a related field
  • Several years of experience as an HR employee or HR Officer
  • Professional fluency in Dutch, English, and German, both spoken and written
  • Knowledge of Dutch employment law
  • Knowledge of Belgian or German employment law is an advantage
  • Comfort with digital systems and the ability to learn new tools quickly
  • Curiosity and willingness to develop across a broad range of international HR topics
  • Availability to work 32–40 hours per week
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to other work locations in the Netherlands, Belgium, or Germany
