Head of Frontend Development, Europe (Remote)
Lead frontend architecture for multiple B2C casino brands while launching a SvelteKit B2B casino platform. Manage 20–25 remote engineers across Europe.
Description
- Own the frontend architecture for multiple B2C casino brands
- Lead greenfield development of a scalable, high-performance B2B casino platform with SvelteKit
- Keep B2C brands secure, fast, and technically current while developing the B2B platform
- Set architectural direction, define engineering standards, and perform thorough code reviews
- Manage, mentor, and motivate a distributed team of 20–25 frontend engineers, including Team Leads and Senior Developers
- Build a culture of accountability, strong performance, continuous development, and psychological safety
- Lead the integration of AI into frontend development
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Backend, and DevOps to transform business needs into real-time user experiences
- Report directly to the CTO
Requirements
- Advanced expertise in JavaScript, React, and modern cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS
- Experience with SvelteKit is highly valued
- Proven experience leading remote frontend teams of 20–25 engineers, preferably through Team Leads
- Ability to optimize React applications for low-latency real-time updates and heavy traffic
- Strong knowledge of deploying and scaling frontend applications on AWS, including CloudFront, S3, and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience in the iGaming or casino sector is advantageous
- Ability to align, motivate, and maintain effective communication across a large distributed team and multiple time zones
