Description

  • Oversee a district of H&R Block franchise tax offices and help franchisees build their customer base, revenue, and earnings.
  • Build strong franchisee relationships and deliver support in line with company policies and priorities.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and communicate retail tax strategies and priorities.
  • Advise franchisees and provide operational support to improve business growth and performance.
  • Address franchisee concerns and resolve issues promptly.
  • Strengthen collaboration between franchisees and company operations.
  • Guide franchise owners on business strategy, growth levers, and long-term planning.
  • Review financial performance and recommend ways to improve results.
  • Coach franchisees on tax office operations, growth, HRB processes and systems, staffing, and recruiting.
  • Prepare district business plans with qualitative and quantitative analysis, objectives, commitments, and timelines.
  • Encourage use of company products and programs.
  • Build relationships with internal support teams to help deliver objectives, initiatives, and tools effectively.
  • Track company strategy updates, industry developments, and market conditions.
  • Travel extensively, around 50–60%, with overnight stays possible depending on district size.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent education and relevant work experience.
  • Able to make independent decisions and take full responsibility for work and decisions.
  • Demonstrated project management capability.
  • Able to manage several projects at once while balancing near-term and long-term priorities.
  • Able to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical abilities.
  • Clear verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and public relations skills.
  • Careful and detail-focused.
  • Experience in retail or a comparable work setting.
  • At least five years of related work experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Able to use a computer and relevant software.
  • Three years of supervisory experience, including coaching, counseling, and performance reviews.
  • Familiarity with franchise owner and company-owned business settings.
  • Willing and able to travel and work a flexible schedule.
  • Prior experience as a District General Manager or Lead Franchise Support Manager is preferred.
  • Franchise industry experience is preferred.
