Developer Advocate, Engineering Excellence — Roche, Warsaw

Roche is seeking a Developer Advocate to advance engineering platforms and developer experience in Warsaw. The role focuses on integrations, technical enablement, community engagement, and adoption across internal engineering teams.

Description

  • Develop integrations and reusable templates connecting core E3 platforms with business-specific development pipelines.
  • Help engineering community members resolve technical issues through troubleshooting, architecture reviews, and pairing sessions.
  • Create presentations, demonstrations, technical blog posts, and sample solutions that highlight E3 capabilities.
  • Support Roche’s internal engineering community through inner-sourcing programs, technical talks, and hackathons.
  • Report platform bugs, propose features, and document workflow challenges for product squads.
  • Build trust and technical credibility across internal communication channels, developer forums, and engineering communities.
  • Make E3 capabilities easier to use and promote their organic adoption across Roche.
  • Represent and champion the E3 organization as a technical spokesperson across Roche business units.
  • Share developer feedback patterns, adoption progress, and workflow constraints with E3 leaders and stakeholders.
  • Coach internal engineers and platform squad members on technical practices, embedded application security, and AI tools.
  • Help shape platform product direction by advocating for strong documentation, usable APIs, and better developer experiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Prior experience in full-stack software development, DevOps, or platform engineering.
  • Confidence writing code and evaluating software architecture and delivery pipelines.
  • Extensive experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, and automated code-review agents.
  • Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD systems, and container orchestration.
  • Ability to create reference architectures, starter kits, and mock environments that developers can deploy within minutes.
  • Strong customer orientation, ownership, initiative, and follow-through.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in complex, fast-moving, and ambiguous situations.
  • Willingness to participate in and represent the organization at internal conferences, global engineering events, and inner-source meetups.
  • Excellent written and verbal storytelling skills for technical audiences.
  • Ability to scale technical knowledge through internal blogs, technical talks, and interactive workshops.
  • Experience partnering across Product, Engineering, Security, and Compliance teams.
  • Pragmatic approach to delivering engineering outcomes.
  • Strong focus on the complete user journey, clear documentation, intuitive APIs, and accessible support.
