Data Architect – Graph and Semantic Modeling | CONVOTIS, Spain Hybrid

Design graph models, ontologies, and semantic integrations for CONVOTIS Iberia’s enterprise technology solutions. Shape cloud architectures and AI-ready knowledge graphs from domain modeling through production delivery.

Description

  • Create and deliver graph data models covering property graphs, RDF/OWL ontologies, and knowledge graph schemas
  • Integrate varied enterprise sources such as ERP, CRM, operational platforms, data warehouses, and data lakes into semantic architectures
  • Evaluate and deploy graph technologies including Neo4j, Amazon Neptune, Azure Cosmos DB, Stardog, and AllegroGraph
  • Establish ontology governance covering version control, namespace administration, and SHACL-based constraint validation
  • Partner with data engineering teams on ingestion, transformation, and graph-loading workflows
  • Guide semantic-layer architecture for analytics and AI applications, including entity resolution, semantic search, and graph-enhanced retrieval
  • Support pre-sales activities through architecture workshops, technical proposals, and proof-of-concept development
  • Record architecture decisions, data models, and semantic relationships clearly
  • Direct technical architecture across delivery engagements from domain modeling to production rollout

Requirements

  • Bring 5–8 years of experience in data architecture, with a focus on graph modeling and/or ontology engineering
  • Demonstrate strong command of SPARQL and/or Gremlin or Cypher
  • Have hands-on experience with at least two graph database platforms spanning RDF triple stores and property graphs
  • Understand ontology design concepts such as class hierarchies, property axioms, inference, and modularity
  • Experience connecting graph layers with enterprise metadata and governance platforms such as Collibra, Informatica, Apache Atlas, or Alation
  • Apply cloud data architecture expertise across AWS and/or Azure storage, processing, and orchestration services
  • Translate complex business domains into formal, reusable ontologies
  • Communicate complex technical subjects clearly with engineering teams and business stakeholders
  • Experience with domain ontologies such as FIBO, CIM, GS1, or SNOMED is preferred
  • Exposure to generative AI integration patterns is preferred
  • Familiarity with agentic AI architectures is preferred
  • Knowledge of linked data concepts and semantic web standards is preferred
  • Certifications in graph platforms, AWS, or Azure are valued
