Description

  • Set and deliver the commercial growth strategy for Power Grids services across Germany and the wider DACH region
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs and emerging business opportunities
  • Create strategic growth plans that support DNV’s long-term objectives
  • Deliver sustainable, profitable growth in order intake
  • Build and deepen relationships with C-suite leaders, decision-makers and industry stakeholders
  • Engage transmission and distribution system operators, utilities, regulators, industrial customers and investors
  • Advise customers on complex energy-transition challenges
  • Manage and expand the Power Grids sales pipeline
  • Lead the qualification, capture and pursuit of strategic opportunities
  • Make bid-or-no-bid decisions and direct multidisciplinary proposal teams
  • Negotiate and secure high-value consulting and advisory engagements
  • Sponsor strategic projects after award to support successful customer outcomes
  • Represent DNV at industry events, conferences and customer forums
  • Give keynote presentations and participate in industry dialogue
  • Produce articles, market analysis and thought-leadership content
  • Increase DNV’s profile and reputation in the German market
  • Collaborate with technical specialists, consultants and engineering teams across Europe
  • Turn customer needs into innovative service offerings
  • Help develop Grid Utilization, Grid Transformation and Digital System Operations services
  • Support resource allocation and annual business planning
  • Coach consultants and subject-matter experts in commercial excellence
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing culture
  • Help identify future business opportunities throughout the organization

Requirements

  • Demonstrated success in business development, market development, strategic sales or consulting leadership
  • A strong record of winning and delivering substantial consulting, engineering or advisory engagements
  • Ability to develop and execute growth strategies in technically complex markets
  • Experience managing major opportunity pipelines and strategic pursuits
  • In-depth knowledge of Germany’s electricity transmission and distribution market
  • Strong understanding of grid operations, flexibility, congestion management, grid transformation or system integration
  • An established network across German utilities, transmission and distribution operators, regulators and energy-sector stakeholders
  • Knowledge of the challenges and opportunities created by the Energiewende and power-system transformation
  • Ability to turn market developments into actionable business strategies
  • Strong analytical and commercial judgment
  • Experience working effectively in changing, fast-moving markets
  • Entrepreneurial approach with enthusiasm for growth and innovation
  • Strong stakeholder-management and influencing skills
  • Credibility with senior executives and technical specialists
  • Proven ability to mentor and develop professionals
  • Collaborative leadership style focused on creating long-term value
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Fluency in German and English
  • Willingness to travel within Germany and across Europe when required
  • Successful completion of background checks
