Join TD Securities in Dublin as a technology intern developing AI agents, APIs, and cloud-native data platforms for financial services. Contribute to RAG, data governance, self-service analytics, and modern platform engineering.

Description

  • Design and develop AI-ready data platform capabilities that support self-service data discovery and access
  • Create AI agents and MCP integrations for natural-language interaction with data products
  • Work with domain owners to understand data products and make them easier to consume
  • Develop APIs, services, and automation frameworks for AI agents and applications
  • Help deliver Retrieval-Augmented Generation solutions using enterprise data sources
  • Support scalable data pipelines and cloud-native data services
  • Build proof-of-concepts across emerging AI, data engineering, and developer productivity technologies
  • Work with platform users to identify friction and improve usability and adoption
  • Create tools for finding datasets, lineage, definitions, ownership, and usage patterns
  • Help maintain governance, security, and access controls for AI-enabled solutions
  • Take part in monitoring, troubleshooting, testing, and ongoing platform improvement
  • Contribute to technical documentation, architecture reviews, and knowledge-sharing activities
  • Use clean code, automated testing, CI/CD, and secure software development practices
  • Investigate emerging AI and data technologies and assess their relevance to the platform

Requirements

  • Be in the penultimate year of a Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or related degree
  • Be enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's programme
  • Be available for a six-month placement from January through July 2027
  • Have unrestricted authorization to work in Ireland for the full internship
  • Show enthusiasm for using data and AI to solve business problems
  • Bring curiosity and a readiness to investigate emerging technologies
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging abilities
  • Have programming experience with Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#
  • Understand APIs and contemporary software development principles
  • Have foundational knowledge of SQL and data modelling
  • Be familiar with Git and collaborative software development workflows
  • Have an interest in AI, machine learning, large language models, or intelligent systems
  • Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, AI agents, or MCP is an advantage
  • Knowledge of data engineering and distributed data processing is an advantage
  • Exposure to Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform is an advantage
  • Familiarity with Databricks, Spark, Dremio, or comparable analytics platforms is an advantage
  • Understanding of vector databases and semantic search is an advantage
  • Experience building APIs with Spring Boot, FastAPI, or similar frameworks is an advantage
  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is an advantage
  • Interest in Data Mesh, data products, data governance, and AI-enabled analytics
