BD Associate Director, Market Access and Payer Strategy (Hybrid)
Lead payer access, reimbursement, and coverage strategy for BD’s Liberator Urology, Ostomy, and PureWick products. Direct national contracting and Medicare Advantage expansion.

- Build and deliver national payer access strategies across commercial, Medicare Advantage, Managed Medicaid, and government health plans.
- Negotiate with national and regional health plans on reimbursement, contract terms, and network participation.
- Renegotiate payer agreements to improve reimbursement, ease administrative demands, and increase profitability.
- Find contracting opportunities that broaden coverage and improve patient access.
- Prepare business cases, financial models, and network expansion strategies.
- Represent BD as the executive lead in payer negotiations and contract discussions.
- Expand Medicare Advantage access for PureWick, Urology, and Ostomy products.
- Work with Medicare Advantage medical directors and policy committees.
- Present clinical evidence, health economics, patient outcomes, and utilization data.
- Shape payer policy updates and broaden coverage for PureWick.
- Work with BD Government Affairs, the Office of Market Access, CMS, state Medicaid agencies, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Revenue Cycle Management, and Commercial leadership.
- Lead efforts to establish coverage pathways, billing codes, reimbursement policies, and fee schedule inclusion.
- Coordinate clinical dossiers, outcomes research, white papers, economic analyses, and policy submissions.
- Take part in industry coalitions, advocacy groups, and stakeholder forums.
- Track healthcare policy, reimbursement, regulatory, and legislative developments.
- Address coverage denials, authorization barriers, contract disputes, escalated patient complaints, and reimbursement issues.
- Create annual market access plans, dashboards, executive reports, and recommendations.
- Assess expansion opportunities by geography, payer, and product.
- Grow covered lives, payer contracts, Medicare Advantage participation, reimbursement, Medicaid coverage, and patient access.
आवश्यकताएँ
- Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, public health, finance, political science, health policy, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in healthcare market access, managed care contracting, payer relations, reimbursement, government affairs, provider contracting, or healthcare policy.
- Demonstrated success negotiating contracts with national and regional health plans.
- Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, Managed Medicaid, commercial insurance, and healthcare reimbursement systems.
- Experience working with medical directors, payer policy leaders, and government agencies.
- Strong financial, contracting, and reimbursement modeling skills.
- Excellent executive communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to influence senior leaders inside and outside the organization.
- Ability to work independently in complex environments.
- Preferred: MBA, MHA, MPH, JD, or another advanced degree.
- Preferred: Experience in DMEPOS, home medical equipment, medical devices, Urology, Ostomy, Continence Care, or healthcare distribution.
- Preferred: Experience working with CMS, Medicaid agencies, and healthcare policymakers.
- Preferred: Existing relationships with payer organizations and healthcare policy stakeholders.
- Preferred: Experience with coverage determinations, coding, reimbursement, and fee schedule development.
- Preferred: Experience working with government affairs and industry advocacy organizations.
- Preferred: Knowledge of value-based care and health economics research.
