Associate Technical Analyst - Madison WI Hybrid
Support requirements analysis, technical solution delivery, and project coordination for American Family Insurance. This hybrid role is based in Madison, Wisconsin and partners with business and engineering teams.

- Collect and organize business and technical requirements across the application lifecycle
- Maintain requirements documents, process flows, user stories, functional specifications, and related analysis materials
- Work with business stakeholders and technical teams to clarify requirements and align project goals
- Contribute to design reviews, testing, code reviews, and other delivery activities
- Verify that solutions satisfy documented business requirements
- Review current business processes and identify opportunities for improvement, standardization, and reuse
- Support effort estimates and project planning by contributing analysis and recording assumptions
- Share project updates, requirements, and analysis findings with stakeholders and team members
- Apply organizational standards, delivery methodologies, and architectural guidelines
- Build knowledge of business operations, systems, technologies, and industry practices
- Report to a senior engineering manager
- Take on additional assignments and participate in projects as required

- Foundational knowledge of business analysis methods, concepts, and documentation practices
- Ability to collect, organize, and evaluate information using established procedures
- Careful attention to detail when documenting requirements clearly and accurately
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Capacity to learn new technologies, systems, and business processes quickly
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and complete work on schedule
- Basic knowledge of SDLC, testing practices, and systems analysis
- Familiarity with programming and scripting concepts, including reading and modifying simple scripts and queries
- Basic data analysis experience with Excel, SQL, Power BI, or comparable tools
- Ability to spot data trends, reconcile inconsistencies, and explain analytical results
- Collaborative working style with ownership of individual deliverables
- General business knowledge developed through education, training, or prior experience
- Adaptability, initiative, and openness to feedback and additional responsibilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business analysis tools
- Experience delivering customer-focused solutions, support, or service
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering strongly preferred
- Willingness and ability to work hybrid, including at least 10 office days per month in Madison, Wisconsin
- Ability to travel up to 10%
- Successful completion of applicable background checks
- Ability to sign a non-disclosure agreement
