Accounts Payable Ledger Specialist - ITV (Hybrid, UK)

ITV is seeking an Accounts Payable Ledger Specialist to oversee supplier payments, reconciliations, reporting, and ledger accuracy in a hybrid UK role. The position focuses on compliance, timely processing, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.

  • Own the company’s accounts payable ledger and maintain accurate, timely records.
  • Process invoices accurately, ensure prompt payments, and keep vendor accounts up to date.
  • Act as the main contact for supplier and internal business queries about invoices.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and investigate delayed or discrepant payments.
  • Review open GRNI balances, obtain missing invoices, process corrections, and request refunds when needed.
  • Identify and document payment errors, resolve them, and share root-cause findings with Processing and Master Data teams.
  • Produce accounts payable reports, ageing schedules, and analyses of outstanding balances.
  • Reduce overdue invoice volumes and complete month-end ledger close activities on schedule.
  • Support internal and external audits with documentation, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Work with the Global Process Owner to identify, design, and deliver ongoing process improvements.
  • Provide trend analysis to AP and Compliance teams to expose knowledge gaps and strengthen purchase order compliance.
  • Keep team SOP documentation current and assist with onboarding and training new colleagues.
  • Report to the Accounts Payable Manager.

आवश्यकताएँ

  • Substantial experience in an accounts payable function.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting fundamentals and end-to-end accounts payable processes.
  • Practical Microsoft Excel expertise, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
  • Experience using accounting platforms such as Oracle or SAP.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse, manipulate, present, and improve data for operational and management teams.
  • Strong root-cause analysis skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Experience in a Shared Service Centre or Global Business Services setting is preferred.
  • Experience with finance ERP platforms; Oracle Fusion experience is advantageous.
  • Advanced proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office, including Word/Docs, Spreadsheets/Sheets, and Slides.
  • Ability to adapt, work through complex processes, and deliver against ambitious targets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented approach.
  • Understanding of risk and fraud controls.
