Opis

  • Set enterprise strategy and provide executive direction for Xcel Energy’s Fleet Overhaul Management organization
  • Oversee investment priorities and performance for a generation overhaul and outage portfolio exceeding $500 million
  • Lead Regional Managers and enterprise support teams
  • Define the operating model, decision rights, standards, governance schedule, and performance expectations for regional teams
  • Direct fleet overhaul and outage strategy, balancing assets, regions, funding, workforce, contractors, generation availability, and risk
  • Turn corporate and Generation priorities into a multi-year fleet plan that integrates Operations and Maintenance with capital investments
  • Oversee complex outage, modernization, and reliability programs, including projects above $50 million
  • Advise Generation leadership and serve as the main enterprise contact for cross-functional business leaders
  • Approve and sponsor multi-year outage strategies and integrated Operations and Maintenance and capital plans
  • Set fleet-wide policies, standards, controls, metrics, and performance expectations
  • Ensure Regional Managers deliver safe, predictable, and financially disciplined execution
  • Align executive leaders across Operations, Engineering, Asset Management, Commercial Operations, Finance, Environmental Services, Supply Chain, Transmission, Distribution, and Gas
  • Own outage management capabilities, systems, analytics, digital tools, and process transformation
  • Account for portfolio results in safety, generation availability, outage duration, schedule, cost, capital efficiency, risk, contractor strategy, and fleet reliability
  • Guide organizational design, workforce planning, contractor models, and leadership succession
  • Represent Fleet Overhaul Management in executive governance, business planning, regulatory or audit discussions, and enterprise performance reviews
  • Develop Regional Managers and senior leaders while building a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, sound decisions, and continuous improvement
  • Maintain a strong commitment to personnel, environmental, and equipment safety

Zahteve

  • A bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is preferred; equivalent education or experience may be considered
  • At least 10 years of power generation or equivalent experience, including five years in leadership
  • A record of effective leadership and strong results
  • Broad knowledge of generation operations, maintenance, outage management, capital project delivery, reliability improvement, and asset management
  • Experience with large utility generation fleets, including fossil, renewable, nuclear, or emerging technologies
  • Experience leading large, geographically dispersed organizations through multiple management levels
  • Experience leading multiple managers or comparable senior operational leaders
  • Prior leadership of fleet-wide outage or asset management organizations
  • Strong strategic planning, organizational leadership, business judgment, and enterprise decision-making skills
  • Ability to lead organizational transformation, continuous improvement, and enterprise-wide change
  • A track record managing large capital portfolios and complex maintenance investments across business units and stakeholders
  • Understanding of power markets, regulatory requirements, operational risk management, and utility financial planning
  • Excellent communication, executive influence, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Leadership across multiple locations, business units, or regions is preferred
  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business administration, or a related technical field
  • Professional Engineer (PE), Project Management Professional (PMP), or equivalent certification
  • Willingness to travel at least 25%
