Descriere

  • Lead and develop engineering managers and individual contributors across applications, data pipelines, quality engineering, and cloud platforms.
  • Grow technical leaders, reduce key-person dependencies, and scale the organization through shared ownership.
  • Set standards for technical decisions, delivery, collaboration, documentation, operations, and customer impact.
  • Manage engineering capacity, staffing, operating budgets, vendor spending, and technical contracts.
  • Shape the Polaris roadmap with Product, UX, Data Science, and the Chief Product Officer; prioritize investments and resolve dependencies and tradeoffs.
  • Turn agency, client, and market needs into technology plans for Polaris IQ, shared data products, and measurement applications.
  • Guide architecture to support product growth while replacing fragile systems, duplicated capabilities, and costly operations.
  • Track engineering delivery speed and quality through a scorecard.
  • Improve deployment frequency with automated testing, CI/CD, observability, release automation, and fast feedback.
  • Set the engineering AI strategy and assess coding agents, model providers, agent runtimes, and automation opportunities.
  • Oversee architecture for Python and Django services, React apps, PostgreSQL, Airflow, BigQuery, dbt, GKE, Cloud Run, Terraform, GitOps, Argo CD, and GitHub Actions.
  • Ensure data pipelines and systems provide accurate, timely, observable data across advertising, analytics, commerce, and client sources.
  • Manage service-level objectives, incident response, corrective actions, capacity planning, and risk reduction.
  • Lead engineering escalation for critical incidents and high-risk architecture decisions.
  • Work with Security and Legal on secure architecture, identity and access, secrets, vendor risk, data governance, incident response, client assurance, and compliance.

Cerințe

  • At least 12 years of software engineering experience.
  • At least 5 years leading engineering managers and multidisciplinary engineering organizations.
  • A record of building healthy teams, developing leaders, strengthening accountability, and delivering complex products with cross-functional partners.
  • Strong architectural judgment across modern SaaS applications, APIs, cloud infrastructure, data platforms, distributed systems, CI/CD, observability, and security.
  • GCP and Polaris stack experience is valuable; comparable depth with other technologies is acceptable.
  • Experience improving developer productivity and delivery through platform capabilities, automation, testing, operational standards, and developer experience KPI reporting.
  • Practical experience adopting AI-assisted development or agentic workflows.
  • Experience balancing speed with security, quality, cost, and maintainability.
  • Experience managing cloud and software budgets, vendor relationships, capacity plans, and technical contract decisions.
  • Calm, decisive leadership, with the ability to shift between executive communication and hands-on technical investigation.
  • Clear written and verbal communication about risk, architecture, cost, and tradeoffs with clients and non-technical leaders.
  • Emphasis on durable systems, clear ownership, and delegation.
  • Must be able to work in the United States.
