Apraksts

  • Lead the design and delivery of complex data engineering initiatives.
  • Build advanced pipelines and platform architecture that drive meaningful product or business outcomes.
  • Address scalability limits, data quality problems, architectural debt, and reliability risks.
  • Assess and recommend data technologies, tools, cloud services, orchestration frameworks, and transformation solutions.
  • Coach data engineers through code reviews, architecture guidance, and practical support.
  • Establish and document engineering standards, architectural patterns, and best practices.
  • Contribute to architecture discussions, design reviews, and pull request reviews.
  • Work with product, analytics, and operations teams on complex data initiatives.
  • Represent data engineering in cross-team planning.
  • Explain technical ideas and architectural trade-offs to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Assess new tools, frameworks, and architectural approaches.
  • Run proof-of-concept projects and recommend next steps.
  • Share technical insights and learning with the team.

Prasības

  • At least 7–10 years of experience in data engineering.
  • Demonstrated success building complex, production-ready pipelines and platforms at scale.
  • Extensive knowledge of data architecture, pipeline design, and platform engineering.
  • Experience with batch and streaming systems, data warehouses, and lakehouse architectures.
  • Experience using Airflow, Spark, dbt, or Databricks.
  • Strong command of at least one cloud data platform: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Experience with Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.
  • Advanced Python and SQL skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • Snowpark and Snowflake ML or AI experience is a plus.
  • Scala or Java proficiency is a plus.
  • A coaching approach and enthusiasm for mentoring engineers.
  • Clear, confident communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • dbt Certified Developer credential preferred.
  • SnowPro or advanced Snowflake certification preferred.
  • Apache Airflow experience or certification preferred.
