Aprašymas

  • Lead delivery and engineering standards for the Payments squad
  • Produce technical specifications and design documentation
  • Review ADRs and pull requests with constructive feedback
  • Resolve complex technical challenges through code or improved workflows
  • Set the architectural direction for the payments service
  • Own payment accuracy and processing efficiency, with a focus on reducing processing costs
  • Establish the squad’s operating model and delivery pace
  • Coordinate work sequencing and cross-team dependencies
  • Investigate throughput constraints and give stakeholders visibility into squad progress
  • Develop junior engineers while partnering with the senior engineer on complex technical work
  • Work with the manager to identify promotion and hiring needs
  • Report to the Service Manager for Saldo

Reikalavimai

  • Demonstrated experience as a tech lead accountable for a squad’s delivery and engineering standards
  • Experience producing design documentation, reviewing pull requests and ADRs, solving problems hands-on, and setting technical direction
  • Ability to combine hands-on leadership on significant technical challenges with coaching for junior engineers
  • Experience creating a team’s ways of working from the ground up while balancing speed, quality, and resilience
  • Experience managing sequencing and dependencies across teams
  • Experience identifying and diagnosing throughput issues
  • Confidence setting technical direction in ambiguous problem areas
  • Experience taking technical blockers through to resolution
  • Payments systems experience is desirable
  • Experience improving processing costs or efficiency in a high-volume service is desirable
  • Experience evolving a service from an initial version into a scalable system is desirable
  • Fluent spoken and written English
