Real Estate Counsel

Advise Corient’s wealth management business on its nationwide portfolio of more than 50 office leases, alongside vendor agreements, corporate matters, and litigation. Based in Miami, this role reports to a senior attorney and works on site four days per week.

Aprašymas

  • Advise the Real Estate function on its portfolio of more than 50 office leases nationwide.
  • Provide legal guidance throughout the office lease lifecycle.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate letters of intent, leases, subleases, estoppels, SNDAs, and related agreements.
  • Manage service and supplier contracts with real estate, architecture, and facilities vendors.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate assignments, terminations, and consolidations of leases and vendor agreements.
  • Support corporate governance, including mergers and acquisitions and integration work.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate vendor agreements covering NDAs, software, SaaS, and technology.
  • Manage third-party litigation and, with outside counsel, document production for third-party subpoenas.
  • Coordinate legal work across internal teams and outside counsel.
  • Identify and support process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Complete other assigned work and projects.
  • Report to a senior attorney on the legal team.

Reikalavimai

  • Hold a J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Be in good standing with a U.S. state bar.
  • Have 3–5 years of experience in a top-tier real estate leasing practice.
  • Material lessee experience is a significant advantage.
  • In-house legal experience is an advantage.
  • Bring substantial experience across the real estate leasing lifecycle, including commercial leases, AIA agreements, lease negotiations, green leasing terms, and real estate deal structures.
  • Have experience with vendor and supplier contracts.
  • Have experience with corporate governance and general corporate work.
  • Litigation experience is an advantage.
  • Use sound judgment to balance legal risk with business priorities.
  • Be hardworking, motivated, proactive, and results-oriented.
  • Be comfortable answering questions from colleagues at all levels of seniority.
  • Be highly organized and meticulous.
  • Demonstrate unquestioned integrity.
  • Be interested in joining a fast-growing firm.
  • Work well in a team, build relationships, and earn others’ respect.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Collaborate effectively across groups and functions.
  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Be willing to undergo a background investigation.
  • Have unrestricted U.S. work authorization; Corient hires U.S. citizens or permanent residents, subject to stated exceptions.
  • Be willing to sign Corient’s Employee Agreement or Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement.
  • Be willing to work on site four days per week.
