Commercial Executive supporting Hastings Direct’s motor claims strategy through claims inflation analysis, performance reporting, and commercial insight. The role contributes to management information, market analysis, and claims-related initiatives.

- Support the Commercial Manager in delivering the claims strategy
- Implement agreed initiatives and take ownership of assigned commercial workstreams
- Identify inflationary factors affecting claims portfolios and develop actionable insight
- Analyse claims data and market intelligence to explain performance drivers and changes
- Engage internal and external claims specialists to assess relevant influences
- Produce management information in collaboration with teams, departments, and external suppliers
- Track claims performance, emerging trends, and changes in claimant behaviour
- Build knowledge of market developments and macroeconomic factors influencing commercial results
- Partner with the Commercial Manager to reduce impacts on processes and performance
- Contribute to claims projects and related initiatives with project teams

- Experience supporting commercial programmes and claims strategy delivery
- Strong analytical ability, including preparing, manipulating, and interpreting claims data
- Proficiency in data visualisation with tools such as Excel or Power BI
- Background in customer claims management
- Knowledge of insurance pricing and segmentation is highly advantageous
- Strong commercial judgement
- Comfort working with profit-and-loss mechanics and performance drivers
- Ability to support change effectively in a matrix organisation
