Vice President, Corporate Trust Transaction Manager

Lead Corporate Trust contract negotiations, onboarding, and risk management at BNY. Partner with clients, counsel, and internal teams to improve service and operational efficiency.

Description

  • Negotiate contract terms with clients and their legal teams, working alongside BNY counsel and internal stakeholders.
  • Assess and reduce contractual, operational, and regulatory risks.
  • Confirm contracts align with BNY’s risk appetite.
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to complete accurate, timely onboarding in bank systems.
  • Provide responsive client service and anticipate client needs.
  • Apply available technology to improve outcomes.
  • Work across teams to drive process improvements and efficiency.
  • Promote risk awareness and promptly escalate exposures.
  • Share analysis and recommendations to support informed decisions.
  • Track industry developments and regulatory changes to support compliance and competitiveness.

Requirements

  • A strong educational background.
  • Experience in Corporate Trust and/or transaction management involving asset-backed securities and mortgage-backed securities.
  • Ability to meet tight, demanding deadlines.
  • Ability to manage challenging internal and external relationships in pressured, time-sensitive situations.
  • Ability to investigate and develop innovative legal solutions that uphold enterprise documentation standards.
  • Ability to recommend commercial solutions to the business.
  • Strong curiosity and lateral thinking.
  • A collaborative team approach.
  • Ability to work effectively without supervision.
  • Resourcefulness.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills to persuade, negotiate, and influence others, including senior stakeholders.
