UX Designer III – United States Remote

SGS is seeking a UX Designer III to lead research, interaction design, and content standards for the HHS TTA Hub data platform. This fully remote role supports Federal, regional, and contractor users.

Description

  • Lead UX research for Federal, regional, and contractor audiences
  • Plan and conduct user interviews and usability studies
  • Produce user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and related design deliverables
  • Guide design handoffs and partner with product and engineering through implementation
  • Create accessible mobile and desktop workflows aligned with the U.S. Web Design System
  • Assess experiences with assistive-technology users when appropriate
  • Act as the team’s content strategist and writer
  • Define consistent content patterns across the TTA Hub
  • Review and approve user guide, onboarding, and training copy prepared by the Training Specialist
  • Maintain UX research materials and product and UX strategy documentation
  • Create and maintain acceptance evidence for relevant sprints
  • Apply human-centered design, information architecture, interaction design, and accessible content practices throughout the product lifecycle
  • Support the HHS Administration for Children and Families TTA Hub data platform

Requirements

  • At least seven years of experience delivering end-to-end UX work for production services
  • A portfolio showing user research, interaction design, and successfully launched products
  • Bachelor’s degree in design, human-computer interaction, or a related discipline, or equivalent portfolio-supported experience
  • Proven expertise in human-centered design
  • Experience with information architecture and interaction design
  • Strong user research and usability testing capabilities
  • Experience designing accessible digital content and user experiences
  • Experience in visual design and prototyping
  • Ability to turn user research and requirements into practical design solutions
  • Ability to create clear, consistent user-facing content and content standards
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and retain a Public Trust clearance
  • Ability to obtain a Personal Identity Verification card
  • Preferred: Experience using the U.S. Web Design System
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Section 508 accessibility requirements
  • Preferred: Experience conducting or supporting Web Content Accessibility Guidelines testing
  • Preferred: Experience designing complex data-entry workflows and dashboards
  • Preferred: Experience conducting user research with Federal stakeholders
