Site Reliability Engineer, FedRAMP — Cisco (Hybrid)

Operate AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure for Cisco Webex for Government. Strengthen reliability, automation, security, and FedRAMP compliance.

Description

  • Deploy and maintain resilient AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure and microservices for the Webex for Government environment
  • Monitor service health and diagnose complex incidents in a 24/7 production setting
  • Restore service rapidly during production incidents
  • Automate recurring operational tasks and infrastructure provisioning
  • Increase deployment safety, efficiency, and consistency
  • Support identity and access management, logging, system hardening, vulnerability remediation, and ongoing FedRAMP monitoring
  • Partner with engineering, security, and compliance teams to address operational risks and improve reliability
  • Create documentation, runbooks, and incident reports
  • Help deliver secure, dependable cloud services to U.S. government customers

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of software development or automation experience with Java, Go, Python, or a comparable programming language
  • Background testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining code
  • Experience supporting AWS cloud infrastructure, production services, DevOps, platform engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering
  • Experience administering Linux and resolving application, system, or network issues in production or production-like environments
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, microservices, and cloud-native application deployment and troubleshooting
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code or automation using tools such as Terraform, Python, Bash, or Go
  • Experience operating services in FedRAMP, government cloud, or another regulated environment
  • Experience working with logs, metrics, dashboards, and alerts through tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Elastic Stack, or Splunk
  • Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and automated production deployments with GitLab or Jenkins
  • Experience with highly available, multi-region distributed systems, capacity planning, and disaster recovery
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Experience producing runbooks, troubleshooting guides, operational procedures, and audit documentation
  • Experience taking part in on-call rotations, production incident response, root-cause analysis, or post-incident reviews
  • Understanding of Incident Commander responsibilities
  • U.S. citizenship is required because the work can only be performed by a U.S. citizen on U.S. soil
