Description
- Assess existing life sciences data landscapes, flows, and scientific sources
- Create enterprise data models for laboratory, research, operational data, and core Data Products
- Define semantic models, metadata standards, and data classification frameworks
- Implement and advance FAIR Data Principles and scientific data standards
- Architect modern data platforms using Snowflake and AWS
- Design data architectures spanning multiple business domains
- Work with laboratory, R&D, IT, and Data Science stakeholders
- Enable analytics, AI, and data science applications with harmonized data structures
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, or a comparable discipline
- Eight or more years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Modeling, or Enterprise Data Management
- Professional experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, diagnostics, or laboratory settings
- Strong understanding of modern data architectures, platforms, and modeling practices
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake, AWS, and SQL
- Knowledge of FAIR Data Principles, Data Mesh, Data Products, Metadata Management, and Data Governance
- Experience working with semantic layers, ontologies, and scientific data models
- Knowledge of Scientific Informatics, Laboratory Informatics, or the Allotrope Framework is advantageous
