Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer, GoTymeX, Hybrid Ho Chi Minh City

Build GoTymeX digital lending products across onboarding, credit decisions, repayments, and servicing. Develop React, Java, Python, and AWS solutions for customer-facing and internal platforms.

Description

  • Build and maintain customer-facing and internal web applications with React.js.
  • Create secure, scalable backend services, APIs, and microservices in Java and Python.
  • Lead the technical design and delivery of lending workflows covering applications, credit decisions, account management, repayments, and servicing.
  • Build and operate cloud-native applications with AWS services and infrastructure.
  • Develop dependable integrations with internal systems, external providers, financial institutions, and data services.
  • Deliver accessible, responsive, maintainable user experiences.
  • Work with product, design, QA, data, risk, and business teams to define requirements and deliver quality software.
  • Design data models and APIs that support scalability, security, auditability, and regulatory obligations.
  • Take ownership of production readiness, including monitoring, alerting, dashboards, runbooks, and release quality.
  • Diagnose production problems through logs, metrics, traces, and observability tooling, then implement preventive improvements.
  • Expand automated testing across unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end levels.
  • Contribute to code and technical design reviews, mentor engineers, and raise engineering standards.
  • Continuously improve performance, reliability, security, and developer productivity.

Requirements

  • At least four years of professional software engineering experience with strong full-stack development skills.
  • Professional experience delivering production web applications with React.js and modern JavaScript or TypeScript.
  • Strong Java backend development experience, including Spring or Spring Boot.
  • Practical Python experience for backend services, APIs, automation, or data processing.
  • Experience designing RESTful APIs, microservices, and integrations with internal or external systems.
  • Hands-on AWS experience and familiarity with cloud-native application development.
  • Working knowledge of distributed systems, service architecture, API design, data modelling, asynchronous processing, and reliability trade-offs.
  • Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
  • Understanding of secure software development, including authentication, authorization, data protection, and sensitive customer-data handling.
  • Ability to deliver projects independently from requirements and technical design through testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Strong automated testing practices across frontend and backend systems.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities across applications, services, databases, logs, metrics, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containers, and modern software delivery methods.
  • Strong ownership, communication, and stakeholder-management abilities.
  • Ability to give constructive code-review feedback, mentor engineers, and improve team engineering practices.
  • Preferred: experience in fintech, banking, lending, payments, credit, or another regulated financial-services sector.
  • Preferred: knowledge of lending processes such as origination, underwriting, credit decisions, disbursement, repayments, collections, and servicing.
  • Preferred: experience integrating credit bureaus, identity-verification services, payment gateways, banking platforms, or financial data providers.
  • Preferred: experience with event-driven systems and Kafka, Amazon SQS, Amazon SNS, or Amazon EventBridge.
  • Preferred: experience with AWS services including ECS, EKS, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, CloudWatch, API Gateway, or IAM.
  • Preferred: experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Preferred: knowledge of security, compliance, auditability, and data-privacy obligations for financial products.
  • Preferred: experience creating internal operations tools, workflow platforms, or customer self-service products.
  • Preferred: familiarity with AI-assisted development, coding agents, or LLM-powered product capabilities.
