Senior Data Developer (Remote, Poland)

Join InPost Group as a Senior Data Developer supporting reliable data platforms for its European parcel network. Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines, Databricks data layers, and quality controls for analytics and automation.

Description

  • Build and maintain ETL/ELT workflows with SQL, PySpark, and Python while integrating data from multiple source systems.
  • Create Databricks, Data Lake, and Delta Lake layers, including tables, views, and analytical data models.
  • Automate and coordinate data ingestion and transformation workflows.
  • Maintain data accuracy and reliability through validation, monitoring, alerting, and incident investigation.
  • Improve SQL queries, Spark workloads, and storage designs to enhance performance, scalability, stability, and cost efficiency.
  • Deliver dependable, production-ready data to analysts, Product Owners, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain Confluence documentation for data processes, models, KPI definitions, dependencies, lineage, and incident procedures.
  • Use AI tools to accelerate delivery while reviewing generated code, configurations, and documentation before deployment.

Requirements

  • At least two years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or data analysis.
  • Experience designing ETL/ELT workflows and developing analytical data models or data layers.
  • Background maintaining production data processes, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and data quality assurance.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure.
  • Hands-on proficiency with SQL, Python, PySpark, and Databricks.
  • Understanding of Data Lake and Delta Lake architectures and data modeling principles.
  • Practical experience with Git and Azure DevOps across Development, Test, and Production environments.
  • Ability to convert business needs into effective technical solutions.
  • Advanced English communication skills for work in an international environment.
  • Analytical, logical, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to prioritize under time pressure.
  • Experience working in a complex operational environment is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of dimensional modeling, including star schemas, fact and dimension tables, data grain, and normalization or denormalization for reporting and analytics is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of advanced Databricks and Delta Lake capabilities is an advantage.
  • Experience with Kafka, Structured Streaming, or Event Hubs is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of data security, access control, metadata management, and data lineage principles is an advantage.
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence, or relevant Microsoft Fabric and Databricks certifications, is an advantage.
