Description

  • Integrate and validate credit bureau, banking, open finance, tax, and other financial data sources
  • Clean up customer consents and data connections to support reliable, compliant access
  • Replace manual credit and portfolio processes with documented SQL and Python workflows
  • Establish data-quality checks and maintain supporting documentation
  • Develop underwriting criteria and credit-limit strategies
  • Design customer management strategies for credit-line increases, decreases, and reinstatements
  • Identify high-risk customers and develop loss-mitigation processes
  • Work with Sales and Business Development to align growth plans with credit policy
  • Define portfolio KPIs and create dashboards for portfolio health and strategy performance
  • Build early-warning indicators and monitoring routines for deteriorating accounts
  • Provide Collections with customer segmentation and prioritization insights
  • Support loss forecasting and risk-adjusted return analysis with Finance
  • Use statistical methods to identify risk drivers and guide strategy
  • Develop, validate, and monitor credit risk models
  • Define rules and data requirements for automated credit decisions with Product and Engineering
  • Turn model findings into recommendations for credit leaders and business partners
  • Use AI tools in analysis, validate outputs against source data, and improve AI workflows
  • Collaborate with data science, engineering, product, collections, and sales teams

Requirements

  • Bring 3–7 years of analytics experience in credit risk, including hands-on commercial or SMB credit work in cards, payments, lending, or a related field
  • Use advanced SQL to query large, unstructured datasets and validate data quality
  • Use Python for analysis and statistical modeling, including regression, segmentation, and clustering
  • Have direct experience with bureau, banking, open finance, tax, or other external and alternative data sources
  • Have experience applying AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini to analytical work
  • Demonstrate that your analysis has led to implemented credit-policy or strategy changes with measurable outcomes
  • Communicate clearly in writing and conversation
  • Have professional fluency in English
  • Be able to work with substantial overlap during Latin American business hours
  • Bring knowledge of Latin American credit-data and open-finance ecosystems
  • Experience implementing, validating, or monitoring risk and scoring models with data science teams is preferred
  • Experience supporting collections strategy or early-warning programs is preferred
  • Experience with Tableau, Metabase, Claude Visualization Tools, or similar visualization platforms is preferred
  • Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is preferred
  • Experience in a high-growth startup or fintech is preferred
