Senior Cloud Project Engineer

Lead cloud integrations and managed IT service projects for Corsica Technologies as a senior engineer. Provide Tier 3 escalation support, deployments, client training, and technical mentorship.

Description

  • Act as a Tier 3 resource and escalation point for cloud projects
  • Mentor Project Administrators and provide technical guidance to Project Engineers
  • Prepare project equipment and software for deployment
  • Coordinate with project managers, clients, and end users
  • Implement and deploy completed projects
  • Perform assignments onsite or remotely
  • Submit daily project updates to the Engineering Manager and Project Coordinator
  • Perform discovery activities, including site surveys and client needs analysis
  • Pass discovery results and client notes to the Solutions Engineer for scoping
  • Prepare client recommendations for review by the Solutions Engineer, vCIO, and/or Client Service Manager
  • Update PSA software each day with project progress and assignments
  • Support post-project quality assurance testing
  • Act as the client contact for training users on newly deployed cloud systems
  • Maintain service software documentation and standards
  • Work with technical teams and engineers
  • Handle additional Integrations team responsibilities as assigned
  • Train Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 staff on new technologies
  • Maintain current technical knowledge through continuing education
  • Contribute to Service Strategy by helping design and support client solutions
  • Travel within the region, including occasional overnight trips

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field or equivalent technical certifications, such as Azure Architect, Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified, or VMware VCP
  • At least 4 years of professional experience implementing IT services with Office 365 and/or Microsoft Azure Cloud
  • At least 5 years of Windows Server experience, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Hyper-V
  • At least 6 years of experience with Microsoft cloud solutions and services, including Azure and Office 365
  • Experience producing technical documentation
  • Preferred: at least 1 year of Linux systems experience
  • Preferred: experience with security compliance standards
  • Preferred: additional technical certifications
  • Experience with Windows 10 and 11
  • Active Directory administration experience
  • Microsoft Exchange experience
  • Group Policy administration experience
  • Knowledge of core networking services, including DNS and DHCP
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services
  • Experience with AWS services such as EC2, Route 53, S3, AMIs, volumes, snapshots, security groups, and VPCs
  • Experience with Azure services such as virtual networking, Azure Active Directory, storage, virtual machines, and cloud security
  • Experience with Microsoft cloud products including Office 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and OneDrive
  • Experience with virtualization platforms including Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware
  • Experience with backup platforms, SAN/NAS, VoIP technology and equipment, and varied client/server applications
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities
  • Ability to learn technologies and adapt quickly to new environments
  • Strong critical-thinking and complex problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks
  • Ability to work independently onsite with remote assistance and demonstrate resourcefulness and self-sufficiency
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving history
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and occasionally bend, lift, and drive
