Senior Business Development Manager – Mining Aftermarket | Liebherr

Lead the growth of Liebherr’s mining aftermarket components business for non-Liebherr excavators and haul trucks. Build customer relationships, develop service strategies, and drive sales across North America.

Description

  • Grow and expand Liebherr’s national aftermarket components business for non-Liebherr mining excavators and haul trucks.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through engagement at mine sites, corporate offices, maintenance facilities, and other customer locations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, industry stakeholders, service partners, and market influencers.
  • Create and execute Mining Aftermarket service and remanufacturing strategies.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders while taking a hands-on approach to implementation.
  • Generate, assess, and qualify sales leads.
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and presentations for current and prospective customers.
  • Design and implement strategic sales programs.
  • Oversee customer opportunities and keep CRM records current.
  • Evaluate market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity.
  • Travel extensively throughout North America to support customer engagement and business development.

Requirements

  • A degree in Engineering, preferably Mining or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Eight to ten years of experience in the mining industry.
  • At least five years in sales, sales support, application engineering, business development, and/or product management.
  • Preferred success in sales or service involving heavy machinery or components in mining or related industries.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience using CRM systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of contract management and legal matters.
  • Extensive experience in the mining industry.
  • Knowledge of costing and calculation.
  • Familiarity with U.S. import and export regulations.
  • Excellent written and spoken English is required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license and passport.
  • Availability for domestic and international travel up to 80% of the time.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
