Senior Aeroderivative Engine Operations Engineering Delivery Leader

Lead GE Aerospace’s aeroderivative and marine engine operations engineering, spanning production flow, systems integration, delivery performance, and manufacturing improvement. Drive VAVE, technical execution, and cross-functional delivery across development, production, and field support.

Description

  • Set strategy for GE Aerospace’s aeroderivative and marine products
  • Oversee safety, engine configuration, installation integration, customer qualification, maintenance planning, field investigations, and testing objectives
  • Advance next-generation products through sustainable technology insertion
  • Provide systems technology leadership for the AEOE family of legacy engines
  • Coordinate cross-functional deliverables supporting production flow, manufacturing, delivery, and continuous improvement
  • Work with engineering section leaders to execute programs on schedule while balancing system-level risk and customer needs
  • Collaborate across the Chief’s Office, Design Boards, Project Management, Product Support, and Supply Chain
  • Facilitate systems and design integration to develop balanced solutions informed by field experience and established practices
  • Direct technical execution across product development, production, and field support
  • Lead Value Engineering (VAVE) events for assigned hardware and processes
  • Develop and standardize engineering production-support processes with adjacent organizations
  • Act as the primary technical interface for external organizations
  • Integrate internal team activities with customers and partners
  • Negotiate with and influence stakeholders to define and implement technical and commercial solutions
  • Shape major product-line decisions and long-term strategy
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement through Lean (FLIGHT DECK) methodologies
  • Champion efforts to shorten delivery-challenge resolution times and streamline engineering processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Engineering degree from an accredited university or college
  • At least 5 years of experience in the aerospace industry and/or turbine power generation
  • At least 5 years of experience in engine systems and/or design engineering
  • Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering preferred
  • Multidiscipline technical expertise, including mechanical design and systems integration experience, preferred
  • Hardware ownership or hands-on engineering experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes preferred
  • Experience leading or facilitating Value Engineering (VAVE), Kaizen, or producibility-improvement events preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to develop talent, mentor, and coach others preferred
  • Experience leading teams, including indirect reports, preferred
  • Strong horizontal collaboration and stakeholder-influence skills preferred
  • High motivation, passion, and exceptional communication skills preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver large, complex programs preferred
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of a drug screen, where applicable
