Operations Manager - Raleigh Hybrid

Lead processing operations for a construction technology startup by scaling workflows, supporting distributed teams, and improving throughput, quality, and client delivery.

Description

  • Develop and implement processes and standards that create a consistent, repeatable operating system
  • Oversee the full processing workflow from intake and estimation through quality assurance and delivery
  • Achieve throughput and quality objectives as operational volume increases
  • Lead and expand a distributed operations team through hiring, training, capacity planning, and performance management
  • Analyze operational data to uncover bottlenecks, wasted time, rework, and quality issues
  • Test process changes with the team, evaluate results, and standardize improvements that work
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to turn operational challenges into prioritized tickets
  • Confirm that product changes resolve operational needs effectively
  • Lead the onboarding of new client requirements so estimators can apply established preferences without repeating discovery for each plan

Requirements

  • Demonstrated success managing teams in service delivery, operations, production, BPO, or a comparable environment
  • Experience creating workflows, operating standards, and quality systems
  • Training in Lean Processing and Six Sigma
  • Background in designing and implementing process improvements
  • Proficiency with operational data analysis, spreadsheets, and dashboards
  • Ability to use data to identify root causes and establish performance metrics
  • Basic knowledge of U.S. construction, commercial or residential, or the ability to develop it quickly
  • Experience recruiting and training team members
  • U.S.-based
  • Willingness to travel intermittently to Raleigh, North Carolina
  • Experience interpreting construction plans or working with Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or Revit is a plus
  • Experience in multifamily construction or production homebuilding is a plus
  • Formal education or training in operations theory is a plus
  • Junior product management experience, including writing specifications or tickets, prioritizing backlogs, and collaborating with engineers, is a plus
  • Experience scaling operations teams across countries or time zones is a plus
