Operations Manager, Payments — RISK (Remote, Ukraine)

Lead payment operations for RISK’s international iGaming business, focusing on processing performance, reconciliations, conversion, and cost control. Drive automation and coordinate operational improvements across teams.

Description

  • Monitor payment and product metrics, diagnose performance issues, manage reconciliations, improve operating costs, coordinate cross-functional projects, remove bottlenecks, automate workflows, and prepare data-led materials for leadership.
  • Investigate daily metric variances and identify their underlying causes.
  • Analyze conversion declines across payment systems and product journeys, assign issues to the appropriate teams, and oversee resolution.
  • Reconcile balances, settlements, foreign exchange, and processor fees on a recurring basis.
  • Develop, substantiate, and implement payment-operations cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Manage project schedules, cross-functional coordination, and delivery of final outputs.
  • Work with Engineering, Product, Analytics, and external providers to resolve operational constraints.
  • Find manual payment workflows suitable for automation and put automated processes in place, and prepare data-driven presentations and concise one-page briefs for leadership.

Requirements

  • Advanced Excel and Google Sheets capability, including data modeling, lookup formulas, pivot tables, and scenario analysis.
  • Strong business understanding of payment-processor performance, authorization rates, conversion funnels, settlements, foreign exchange, and fee structures.
  • Practical experience with business intelligence platforms such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
  • Experience automating recurring work with SQL, Python, scripts, or low-code/no-code workflow tools.
  • Ability to turn complex information into concise, well-structured presentations and one-page stakeholder briefs.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • High ownership and the ability to connect operational execution with bottom-line business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to detect anomalies, assess financial or operational impact, recommend corrective action, and deliver results.
  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills for resolving interdepartmental challenges and aligning teams without direct authority.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Clear, precise, evidence-based communication skills.
