International Development Training and Development Specialist (Remote)

Deliver monitoring, evaluation, and learning training and technical assistance for the U.S. Department of Labor’s ILAB programs. Design learning experiences, guide evaluation, and translate labor data into practical insights for global action.

Description

  • Deliver professional and management development training for DOL ILAB Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning (MEL), and Data Services
  • Create and provide training and technical assistance covering indicators, analysis, surveys, adaptive management, and evaluation planning
  • Lead collaborative learning and sensemaking sessions
  • Gather feedback from participants
  • Teach practical approaches that support effective learning
  • Convert findings into actionable results
  • Track program performance and assess impact
  • Translate labor data into clear insights that inform global action
  • Adapt training materials into requested languages with qualified translation support
  • Record lessons learned in partnership with the Lead Evaluator
  • Contribute to as many as four activities each year

Requirements

  • Proven experience designing learning for adults
  • Knowledge of monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) practices
  • Strong facilitation skills with diverse international audiences
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, instructional design, evaluation, or a related discipline is recommended
  • Experience delivering MEL training
  • Proficiency in instructional design
  • Experience facilitating workshops
  • Experience delivering training remotely or in hybrid settings
  • Ability to design effective feedback processes
  • Ability to produce accessible learning materials
  • Strength in audience engagement, inclusive facilitation, and practical knowledge transfer
  • Ability to adapt materials into requested languages with qualified translation support
  • Ability to contribute to evaluation sensemaking sessions and document lessons learned
  • English proficiency for work and job-site communication
