Inside Auto Claims Adjuster - Texas Remote
Investigate automobile insurance claims for National General by assessing coverage, liability, damages, fraud, and subrogation. Negotiate settlements and provide customer service in a remote role.
Description
- Investigate and verify loss facts for automobile accidents ranging from basic to complex
- Assess coverage, liability, and damages, then adjust and negotiate claims within authorized limits
- Collect, review, and evaluate claim information
- Identify potential fraud or subrogation and determine appropriate handling
- Negotiate claim settlements within authorized limits
- Provide exceptional customer service while identifying customer needs
- Work with designated fraud and subrogation representatives to support favorable outcomes
- Identify vehicle body components and other potential property damage
- Use an intermediate knowledge of company and industry insurance policies
- Independently manage all aspects of auto claim investigations, including coverage, damages, and subrogation
- Perform no supervisory responsibilities
Requirements
- Background handling auto insurance claims
- Experience investigating coverage and liability
- Experience providing customer service and resolving claims
- Experience negotiating claim settlements
- Ability to identify subrogation and fraud opportunities
- Experience with auto property damage or bodily injury claims is preferred
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple claims in a fast-paced setting
- Active insurance license holders must end all existing appointments before onboarding and cannot maintain outside appointments during employment
- Applicants holding a resident producer license must formally surrender it when directed by the licensing team
- Authorization to work in the United States
- A dedicated, private, distraction-free workspace for remote work
- Reliable internet with at least 50 MB download and 5 MB upload speeds
