HVAC Service Technician II in Oklahoma City

Service Experts is hiring an HVAC Service Technician II for onsite residential and light commercial work in Oklahoma City. The role covers system diagnosis, repairs, maintenance, customer service, safety compliance, and equipment recommendations.

Description

  • Handle residential and light commercial HVAC service and maintenance calls
  • Investigate, diagnose, and resolve customer issues
  • Service and troubleshoot heating, air conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration equipment, and related accessories
  • Inspect systems and run diagnostics to detect potential issues
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and clean equipment
  • Transport and remove parts and equipment required for service assignments
  • Enter customer-call details on a handheld device and complete required paperwork
  • Collect payments from customers
  • Update dispatch on work status and availability
  • Provide strong customer service and maintain high customer satisfaction
  • Promote products and services and report leads for replacement-product sales
  • Safeguard and maintain company property, vehicles, and tools
  • Stock service vehicles, return defective warranty parts, and replenish inventory
  • Follow safety protocols, wear required PPE, report hazards and incidents, and support safety initiatives
  • Complete other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Associate degree or HVAC-related certification, or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems
  • Prior experience as an installer, maintenance technician, or service technician
  • Two to five years of HVAC experience plus technical training certification
  • All licenses and certifications required by applicable federal, state, provincial, or local regulations for the work area
  • Required EPA and safety certifications
  • Ability to service heating, air conditioning, ventilation equipment, and related accessories
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use required tools and equipment
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and troubleshoot electrical, refrigerant, and duct systems
  • Ability to start and balance airflow and align belts and pulleys with minimal supervision
  • Ability to install a basic duct fitting
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electronic air cleaners, refrigeration systems, hot water systems, steam boilers, humidifiers, and related equipment
  • Strong communication, time-management, and organizational abilities
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving history
  • Availability for flexible schedules and on-call shifts when needed
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders and attic stairs, and navigate attics, basements, and crawl spaces
  • Ability to work safely in hot, cold, indoor, outdoor, dry, humid, slippery, elevated, and confined environments
  • Ability to safely climb ladders rated for a 300-pound load while wearing a 30-pound tool belt
  • Natural or corrected vision with normal depth perception
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and carry loads up to 50 pounds
  • At least two years of experience
  • High school diploma or GED
