Frontend UI Developer – React, TypeScript, Madrid Hybrid

Build intuitive, scalable React and TypeScript interfaces for a global asset manager’s investment-risk modernization program. Help establish the frontend architecture and contribute to Madrid’s emerging technology hub.

Description

  • Create modern, responsive and maintainable interfaces using JavaScript, TypeScript, React, HTML and CSS.
  • Define frontend architecture, component design, usability, performance, accessibility and application consistency.
  • Partner with business analysts, product stakeholders, developers, testers and architects to transform complex requirements into accessible user solutions.
  • Coordinate with the Java/Spring backend team on API design, integration, troubleshooting and end-to-end validation.
  • Develop reusable UI components and patterns that accelerate delivery and strengthen quality.
  • Contribute across the delivery lifecycle, from refinement and design through development, reviews, testing, releases and post-release improvements.
  • Own the UI technical direction, support colleagues, guide implementation decisions and promote stronger engineering practices.
  • Contribute to establishing and developing a new strategic technology hub in Madrid.

Requirements

  • At least five years of professional software development experience.
  • Advanced practical experience with React, TypeScript and JavaScript.
  • Strong knowledge of React application architecture, including component design, state management, routing, testing, performance optimization and maintainable code organization.
  • Ability to create clear, intuitive interfaces for complex business applications.
  • Experience integrating frontend applications with APIs, authentication flows, data models and asynchronous operations.
  • Practical experience with Git, CI/CD, code reviews, automated testing, agile delivery and secure software development.
  • Effective and responsible use of AI tools in software development.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • A strong sense of ownership, curiosity, quality and commitment to improving team processes.
  • Backend experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, service integration and debugging.
  • Experience working with design systems or component libraries.
  • Experience leading a UI workstream or mentoring fellow developers.
  • German language skills are advantageous.
