Employment Counsel, Tanium (U.S. Remote)

Advise Tanium’s People team and business stakeholders on U.S. employment law, investigations, compliance, and litigation. Support employment legal matters across a global technology business.

Description

  • Advise Tanium’s People team and business stakeholders on a broad range of U.S. employment matters
  • Lead workplace investigations involving harassment, discrimination, retaliation, whistleblower complaints, and policy violations
  • Respond to claims, demand letters, administrative complaints, audits, and other employment inquiries
  • Coordinate pre-litigation and litigation matters with outside counsel when needed
  • Draft, review, and negotiate employment documents and templates
  • Create, maintain, and update employment policies, standards, and HR guidance
  • Support federal contractor compliance, including OFCCP evaluations and AAP preparation and maintenance under VEVRAA and Section 503
  • Counsel stakeholders on legal issues involving AI tools in recruiting and employment practices
  • Develop and deliver employment-law training for the People team, employees, and managers
  • Track employment law developments and explain relevant changes and business impacts to stakeholders

Requirements

  • At least five years of relevant employment law experience in a law firm, in-house legal department, or both
  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited institution
  • Active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and state employment laws, including the FLSA, ADA, FMLA, Title VII, and state equivalents
  • Experience conducting or overseeing workplace investigations
  • Familiarity with federal contractor compliance, including OFCCP audits, AAP preparation, and VEVRAA and Section 503 requirements
