Data Engineer – Data Engineering Team at Capital.com, Warsaw Hybrid

Build data pipelines and infrastructure for Capital.com’s global digital-asset trading platform. Support analytics with ETL, data modeling, data quality, and scalable cloud systems.

Description

  • Build and maintain pipelines that ingest, process, and deliver data from multiple sources
  • Develop efficient data models for reporting, analytics, and business intelligence
  • Implement ETL workflows for transforming, aggregating, and enriching data
  • Monitor data quality, introduce validation controls, and support data governance practices
  • Optimize data storage, processing, and distribution systems for scale and performance
  • Partner with data scientists, analysts, and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into business solutions
  • Maintain clear documentation for data processes, pipelines, and systems
  • Help develop and maintain reliable, available data infrastructure
  • Keep current with data engineering practices and emerging technologies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, data science, or a related discipline
  • At least three years of experience in data engineering or a related area
  • Demonstrated experience with Redshift and Snowflake
  • Practical experience using DBT
  • Experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration
  • Proficiency in Python for building pipelines and scripting
  • Experience with AWS services including S3, EC2, and EMR
  • Familiarity with Kafka and real-time data streaming
  • Familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or comparable data visualization and reporting tools
  • Project management experience with Jira or a similar platform
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and understand business data requirements
  • Strong problem-solving, proactive troubleshooting, and critical-thinking skills
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and working methods
