BSA/AML Analyst (Hybrid)

Georgia Banking Company is seeking a hybrid BSA/AML Analyst to investigate alerts, fraud, unusual activity, and compliance cases. The role manages Verafin investigations, BSA monitoring, and regulatory reporting.

Description

  • Review and process assigned alerts in Verafin.
  • Investigate cases requiring additional review and maintain complete documentation.
  • Handle fraud, unusual activity, watch-list, customer onboarding, and enhanced due diligence investigations.
  • Carry out assigned BSA monitoring activities.
  • Support business lines throughout the bank with BSA-related matters.
  • Research and record case information using Verafin and other banking systems and resources.
  • Prepare applicable BSA regulatory reports accurately and in compliance with requirements.
  • Track compliance with established BSA procedures.
  • Build comprehensive knowledge of procedures across assigned responsibilities.
  • Maintain current knowledge of compliance regulations relevant to the area of specialization.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the bank.
  • Complete additional duties and projects assigned by the BSA Officer.

Requirements

  • At least two years of banking experience in BSA or compliance.
  • Working knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act and other applicable banking regulations.
  • Technical ability to use Verafin for BSA/AML monitoring.
  • Previous Verafin experience is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to manage cases through the full process, from alert triage through regulatory reporting.
  • End-to-end case management experience in a community or regional bank is strongly preferred.
  • Strong research and deductive reasoning abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Consistently detail-oriented work style.
  • Ability to work with urgency while meeting assigned deadlines.
