Associate Engagement Manager, Insurance and Asset Management

Advise insurers and asset managers at Oliver Wyman, leading strategy, analytics, and client delivery. Manage project work and support the development of junior consultants.

Description

  • Oversee delivery of project workstreams and projects.
  • Plan and coordinate project activities and workstreams.
  • Formulate hypotheses to guide analysis.
  • Oversee data collection, model development, and analysis.
  • Conduct primary and secondary research.
  • Work creatively around information gaps to uncover useful insights.
  • Turn findings into clear written presentations.
  • Review findings with clients and other stakeholders.
  • Present written findings and deliverables to clients.
  • Support Partners with accurate, high-quality project execution.
  • Lead and develop junior consultants.
  • Assign work based on team members’ skills.
  • Review and refine work products and deliverables.
  • Coach junior consultants through constructive feedback on consulting skills, insurance topics, and related areas.

Requirements

  • Bring 4–7 years of relevant experience, preferably at a leading strategy consultancy or a comparable project-based, team-oriented organization.
  • Have experience with insurance topics such as organizational design, strategic planning, product design, distribution, underwriting, policy or claims administration, claims, risk and capital management, pensions, or reinsurance.
  • Show a record of leading teams and delivering on tight deadlines in demanding, fast-paced settings.
  • Demonstrate strong strategic problem-solving ability and analytical skills.
  • Communicate exceptionally well in writing and in conversation.
  • Hold an undergraduate or advanced degree from a leading academic program.
  • Be willing to travel.
  • Have unrestricted U.S. work authorization for U.S. office locations.
  • Note that CPT and OPT are restricted forms of work authorization and are not accepted for this position.
