Architectural Specification and Design Consultant – Hempel, United States Remote

Remote Neogard architectural specialist responsible for expanding Hempel coating specifications among architects and specifiers. Manages strategic opportunities and technical sales across California, Washington, and Oregon.

Description

  • Expand awareness and adoption of Neogard products and support among architects and specifiers
  • Provide technical sales expertise for roofing, flooring, and waterproofing influencers
  • Partner with Neogard Segment Managers, Account Managers, and the National Architectural Specialists Manager
  • Identify and engage high-value strategic end users
  • Increase long-term specification acceptance across the assigned territory
  • Build relationships with influential architects and specifiers
  • Create and maintain specifications for A/E/C industry projects
  • Help develop new master specifications for the firm’s library
  • Coordinate the knowledge base for designated master specification divisions
  • Build and manage a qualified pipeline of major strategic opportunities
  • Create targeted project-follow-up plans and transition opportunities to the sales team for closure
  • Travel overnight 50–60%

Requirements

  • Residence in California, Washington, or Oregon
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or Civil), plus prior A/E representative experience with coatings or equivalent experience
  • At least three years of direct experience in architectural market channels
  • Established relationships with architects and specifiers
  • Experience in sales and relationship development
  • Strong negotiation and presentation abilities
  • Organized, self-directed, and proactive working style
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM systems
  • Availability for 50–60% overnight travel
  • High-performance coatings expertise preferred
  • Knowledge of flooring, waterproofing, and roof coatings is a plus
  • Strong understanding of commercial roofing technology, codes, and approvals, including FM, RoofNav, UL, SPRI, ARMA, IIBEC, ICRI, and Miami-Dade
  • Understanding of competitive bidding and specification development
  • CSI (Construction Specifiers Institute) membership preferred
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
