Application Administrator – Ciril GROUP (Hybrid, France)

Join Ciril GROUP, a French software publisher and cloud hosting provider, as an Application Administrator. You will administer, support, and help evolve the company’s internal application information system.

Description

  • Maintain the continuity, performance, availability, security, and ongoing development of the internal application information system.
  • Administer internal applications and keep them operating reliably.
  • Maintain and update the application portfolio map.
  • Oversee application lifecycles from deployment and upgrades through retirement.
  • Manage access rights, permissions, and user profiles using Active Directory, SSO, and LDAP.
  • Track application availability, performance, security, and compliance.
  • Configure and improve applications to meet business requirements.
  • Support the integration and interfacing of internal and external applications.
  • Resolve Level 2 functional incidents and service requests.
  • Escalate Level 3 incidents and coordinate resolution with project teams or software vendors.
  • Maintain a high quality of service for users.
  • Collect, assess, and document business requirements with project owners.
  • Advise business teams and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Support user acceptance testing by preparing test plans, running tests, and validating deliverables.
  • Contribute to deployment, migration, and version upgrade initiatives.
  • Train users and create training resources and user guides.
  • Support change management for application improvements.
  • Create and maintain technical and functional documentation.
  • Document operational and application administration procedures.
  • Track technology developments affecting application solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and recommend optimizations.
  • Serve as the link between business project owners and project delivery teams.

Requirements

  • Degree in computer science, systems engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least two years of experience in a comparable application administration role.
  • Solid understanding of business processes.
  • Experience administering and configuring applications, including permissions and workflows.
  • Knowledge of client-server, web, and SaaS application architectures.
  • Proficiency with ticketing platforms such as JIRA and ServiceNow.
  • Knowledge of databases and SQL.
  • Ability to query systems and extract data.
  • Knowledge of application integration and APIs.
  • Experience with identity and access management using Active Directory, LDAP, and SSO.
  • Proficiency in Windows and Linux environments.
  • Knowledge of application deployment and packaging.
  • Advanced ability with office productivity software, especially Excel.
  • Cybersecurity knowledge and practical skills.
  • ITIL and project management experience are advantageous.
  • Strong listening, user support, and training abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a curious approach to technology.
  • Experience working with software vendors and service providers is preferred.
  • Ability to use AI tools in accordance with Ciril GROUP’s regulatory framework.
