Senior Reliability Engineer
Senior reliability engineer at LPL Financial supporting platform observability and production operations. Focuses on incident response, monitoring, release execution, and CI/CD reliability.
Tavsif
- Work with Product Owners and engineering teams to support operations and deliver releases for technology initiatives.
- Confirm platform changes are operationally ready, including rollback plans, runbooks, integrations, and support handoffs.
- Keep platforms stable through technology transformations and production deployments.
- Coordinate platform ownership handoffs and readiness work across globally distributed teams.
- Diagnose platform and application issues to restore service and limit business impact.
- Escalate and resolve complex production incidents and operational issues.
- Take part in incident triage, root cause analysis, corrective planning, and resolution.
- Develop lasting fixes that prevent recurring production issues.
- Maintain continuity in mission-critical environments by resolving incidents promptly.
- Review platform health, configurations, and performance to uncover operational risks.
- Run reliability initiatives to improve recovery times, prevent repeat incidents, and reduce change-related defects.
- Check vendor releases, hotfixes, and configuration updates before production deployment.
- Work with observability and analytics teams to strengthen monitoring, alerting, and issue detection.
- Deliver platform changes through established SDLC, change management, and release processes.
- Improve release and deployment practices with Platform Engineering, DevOps, Quality Engineering, and Scrum teams.
- Help teams adopt source control, environment separation, release automation, and CI/CD.
- Ensure solutions can be tested, deployed, and supported before and after launch.
- Keep runbooks, support materials, configuration records, incident playbooks, and release procedures current.
- Record incident findings, lessons learned, and process improvements.
- Build repeatable, scalable operational practices and support continuous improvement.
Talablar
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of experience in site reliability engineering, platform engineering, production support, enterprise application operations, or a related technology environment.
- At least 5 years supporting enterprise platforms such as AWS, Dynatrace, ELK, ServiceNow, and SolarWinds.
- Experience diagnosing complex production incidents in enterprise-scale technology environments.
- Experience delivering technology changes through formal change and release management processes.
- Experience in financial services or another regulated industry.
- Experience implementing or supporting CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and deployments across development, testing, and production environments.
- Experience with observability platforms, monitoring tools, performance dashboards, or application monitoring solutions.
- Experience working with offshore, nearshore, or global delivery teams.
