Tavsif

  • Lead a three-person AI/ML engineering team, setting technical direction, sprint goals, coding standards, and model evaluation metrics
  • Design, modify, and train custom YOLO architectures from the ground up for CBP Full-Motion Video feeds
  • Architect secure pipelines that ingest, clean, and preprocess production-recorded video for training and sandbox environments
  • Establish annotation and labeling guidelines while overseeing dataset curation
  • Address class imbalance, changing weather conditions, and low-contrast environments
  • Improve inference speed and accuracy with NVIDIA TensorRT, DeepStream, and CUDA
  • Partner with video streaming engineers, software engineers, and system architects to integrate live computer vision inference pipelines
  • Convert system requirements into technical tasks within an Agile/Scrum environment
  • Process live Full-Motion Video feeds to detect and interpret roads, vehicles, people, and custom tactical assets
  • Mentor two mid-level engineers developing high-performance, low-latency inference models

Talablar

  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to pass a CBP background investigation
  • A three-year review for felony convictions
  • A one-year review for illegal drug use
  • A one-year review for misconduct, including theft or fraud
  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related AI/ML-focused field
  • At least seven years of related technical experience
  • At least four years of dedicated experience developing and deploying deep learning and computer vision models, particularly for object detection
  • Availability for a hybrid schedule in Ashburn, Virginia, for local candidates
  • Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, and OpenCV
  • Advanced experience implementing and fine-tuning YOLO models
  • Experience training deep learning models from scratch, including custom anchor-box design, loss-function modification, and hyperparameter tuning
  • Experience with NVIDIA CUDA, cuDNN, TensorRT, or ONNX
  • Experience working with video streams through RTSP, HLS, and file-based inputs
  • Expert Python programming skills with a focus on clean, modular, optimized code
  • Experience with data curation, active learning, and annotation tools such as CVAT, Label Studio, or Roboflow
