Project Accountant – RailPros (Hybrid, Texas)

Manage project budgets, costs, invoicing, and reconciliations while supporting RailPros project managers, clients, and subconsultants. The role also contributes to month-end close and external audits.

Opis

  • Monitor weekly and monthly labor, expense, and subconsultant costs with Project Managers
  • Set up and close projects to contract requirements, including maintaining labor rate tables
  • Prepare, track, and issue project invoices accurately and on schedule under client agreements and internal deadlines
  • Work with clients and Project Managers to support prompt invoice collection
  • Establish project budgets from project setup forms
  • Coordinate invoice collection from subconsultants
  • Review subconsultant invoices for accuracy and compliance with project specifications
  • Support the Controller’s month-end close work, including journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Help respond to audits conducted by customers, auditors, and other external parties
  • Attend Engineering Project Review meetings and follow up on assigned actions
  • Support Project Managers with the payment of subconsultant invoices
  • Travel periodically to RailPros headquarters, field and client offices, work sites, and other project locations
  • Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and respectful workplace
  • Follow organizational expectations for integrity, accountability, and respect
  • Complete other duties as assigned to meet business needs

Zahteve

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • At least three years of accounting or related experience, mainly in project accounting at an engineering, architecture, or construction company
  • Use logical reasoning and organize resources to resolve issues and meet commitments
  • Make decisions and act on opportunities in line with business objectives
  • Work effectively with others to achieve shared results
  • Meet internal and external customer expectations and build customer partnerships
  • Use electronic communication tools, including email and text
  • Use standard office software, including Microsoft Office
  • Be willing and able to travel up to 10%
