Descriere

  • Manage personal umbrella liability claims involving auto, premises, and personal liability.
  • Investigate and evaluate claims, and monitor primary carrier activity.
  • Analyze complex coverage issues.
  • Prepare clear, detailed coverage letters when needed.
  • Investigate liability and damages promptly and thoroughly.
  • Identify potential exposures early.
  • Develop strategies to resolve claims effectively.
  • Assess liability and damages in a timely manner.
  • Set claim reserves.
  • Follow RLI claims handling best practices.
  • Collaborate with primary carriers, defense counsel, and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Handle claims technically without managing a team.

Cerințe

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • A JD is strongly preferred.
  • At least 8 years of relevant legal or technical claims experience.
  • Strong experience handling high-exposure third-party liability claims on a primary or excess basis.
  • Substantial experience with policy limit demands in Florida, Texas, and California.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with primary carriers and defense counsel.
  • In-depth knowledge of umbrella and excess claims handling and outside counsel management.
  • Extensive knowledge of case law, statutes, and procedures affecting liability claims in Florida, California, New York, and Texas.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to drive improvements in the claims department.
  • Excellent communication skills.
