Senior Data Product and Analytics Engineering Manager - London Hybrid

  • Lead and develop four Analytics Engineers with varied levels of experience
  • Set technical direction, provide coaching and context, and preserve ownership of solution design and delivery
  • Steer data modelling and architecture choices, promoting reuse, simplification, and alignment with the target architecture
  • Develop engineers’ capabilities across technical practice, business analysis, architectural thinking, and data-product ownership
  • Own a prioritised Analytics Engineering roadmap spanning data models, marts, dimensions, attributes, governed metrics, and architecture improvements
  • Advance the move toward centralised, dependable, reusable data models
  • Manage analytical data products across discovery, architecture, prioritisation, delivery, quality assurance, adoption, and ongoing ownership
  • Manage dependencies across Product Engineering, Data Engineering, Insights, Reporting, and related teams
  • Anticipate upstream changes and ingestion needs to enable downstream data delivery
  • Convert stakeholder needs into suitable attributes, metrics, models, marts, or data-product improvements
  • Lead analytical data-product development within Moneybox’s Data and Insight team for its wealth-management platform

Prasības

  • At least five years of experience in data architecture and analytical data modelling
  • Practical experience with modern transformation frameworks such as dbt
  • Experience using cloud data platforms including Databricks, Snowflake, or comparable technologies
  • Background leading, mentoring, or providing technical guidance to Data or Analytics Engineers
  • End-to-end understanding of the data lifecycle, from source applications and ingestion through transformation, semantic modelling, and consumption
  • Experience managing roadmaps and balancing business, architectural, and technical priorities
  • Ability to communicate effectively with engineers and senior business stakeholders
  • Confidence designing technical solutions and explaining them to non-technical audiences
  • Substantial previous hands-on experience as a Data Engineer or Analytics Engineer
  • Clear communication skills and experience turning business problems into scalable data products and technical requirements
  • Interest in fintech and the complexities of regulated, app-first financial products
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment
  • Desirable: knowledge of data quality, testing, lineage, documentation, ownership, and governance practices
  • Desirable: experience in a regulated sector, preferably financial services or fintech
  • Desirable: experience with Databricks and dbt, especially building or evolving a centralised transformation and modelling layer
  • Desirable: experience coordinating dependencies across Product Engineering, Data Engineering, and Analytics teams
