Senior Counsel leading Global Citizen’s legal strategy across entertainment, nonprofit operations, partnerships, and compliance. Oversees contracts, risk management, governance, external counsel, and the Legal and Business Affairs team.

- Advise senior leaders on complex business initiatives, contracts, and organizational risk.
- Lead negotiations and supervise drafting for talent, sponsorship, event production, and media agreements.
- Provide counsel on intellectual property, nonprofit compliance, lobbying rules, and international partnership structures.
- Create and implement the organization’s risk strategy.
- Manage relationships with global outside counsel, including selection, budgets, and performance oversight.
- Lead significant cross-functional initiatives from initial planning through delivery.
- Direct legal workstreams for major events, campaigns, and corporate projects.
- Collaborate with leadership on long-term planning for legal and business operations.
- Build internal systems for contract lifecycle management and compliance tracking.
- Manage, supervise, and mentor Legal and Business Affairs team members.
- Set team priorities, processes, workflows, and performance measures.
- Create and manage organization-wide legal and compliance training.
- Facilitate collaboration among Partnerships, Marketing, Events, Creative, and other teams.
- Oversee global corporate governance and compliance with U.S. and international nonprofit laws.
- Lead compliance assessments and put risk management frameworks into practice.
- Advise on organizational policies and support governance and compliance activities.
Талаптар
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Active New York Bar membership in good standing or registration as in-house counsel.
- At least 5–8 years of legal experience.
- Substantial in-house or law firm experience focused on live and recorded entertainment and commercial transactions.
- Experience managing a legal team.
- Experience overseeing legal teams, outside counsel, and major organizational initiatives.
- International experience and cross-cultural coordination skills.
- Expertise in nonprofit law, corporate governance, sponsorship structures, lobbying compliance, and intellectual property.
- Strongly preferred familiarity with entertainment and talent agreements, especially in music, media, and events.
- Proficiency with contract lifecycle management and project management tools, including SpotDraft, Asana, Airtable, and GSuite.
- Demonstrated leadership and people-management ability.
- Sound business judgment with the ability to balance legal risk against organizational priorities.
- Ability to independently manage multiple complex projects.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

- Ability to use AI tools to improve efficiency and increase impact.
- Authorization to work in the United States is required.
