Description

  • Build and strengthen Acrisure’s enterprise compliance program for U.S. businesses.
  • Ensure U.S. operations comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Identify compliance risks, track regulatory changes, and implement prevention and mitigation measures.
  • Lead U.S. compliance initiatives and coordinate with compliance officers across business lines.
  • Draft and maintain Legal and Compliance policies and procedures.
  • Support the development and upkeep of policies for HR, IT, and other corporate functions.
  • Ensure departments and business lines put governance documents into practice.
  • Create and deliver role-specific legal and compliance training with Learning and Development.
  • Develop and put into operation a scalable enterprise compliance framework.
  • Track state and federal laws, rules, and regulatory interpretations.
  • Work with Enterprise Risk Management to assess compliance risks and plan mitigations.
  • Conduct compliance reviews, testing, and assessments; record findings and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate responses to regulatory inquiries, audits, and examinations.
  • Build transparent, professional relationships with regulators.
  • Prepare compliance reports for senior leaders and the Board or its committees.
  • Analyze compliance data and create dashboards and real-time reporting tools.
  • Work with Legal, Enterprise Risk Management, HR, Internal Audit, Finance, IT, and other teams.
  • Organize cross-functional meetings and travel as needed.

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of laws and regulations governing insurance and financial services.
  • Knowledge of state and federal property and casualty insurance requirements.
  • Knowledge of employee benefits laws.
  • Knowledge of licensing, sales practices, compensation requirements, and consumer protections.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity and IT regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of title insurance and mortgage regulations.
  • Strong command of compliance best practices, internal control frameworks, and risk management principles.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends and anomalies, and assess potential compliance risks.
  • Ability to bring varied stakeholders into alignment on decisions and timelines.
  • Ability to work effectively across functions.
  • Ability to explain compliance expectations clearly to leaders, brokers, and staff.
  • Executive presence and strong professional writing skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex regulations and apply them to business operations.
  • Foundational knowledge of legal principles relevant to compliance.
  • At least 15 years of progressive compliance experience, ideally including leadership responsibilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, law, business administration, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in insurance brokerage, insurance company operations, or financial institution regulatory standards.
  • Substantial compliance and risk management experience in highly regulated industries.
