MatX
MatX
MatX is a hardware and artificial intelligence company developing high-throughput accelerator chips for large language models and frontier AI labs. Its MatX One platform is designed around dense and mixture-of-experts transformer workloads, combining on-chip SRAM for model weights with HBM for long-context key-value storage. The architecture targets low-latency training, prefill, decoding, and reinforcement-learning workloads, with scale-up and scale-out interconnects for multi-chip clusters. MatX also provides a programming model intended to give developers direct control over the accelerator, focusing its technology on large-model AI systems rather than smaller models, convolutional networks, or recommendation workloads.
