Summer Financial Analyst – Corporate Valuation Advisory, Complex Securities

Support Houlihan Lokey’s corporate valuation advisory engagements by valuing complex securities and developing quantitative models. Apply statistical analysis and data visualization to produce insights for client work.

Description

  • Work with junior and senior colleagues on client engagements
  • Build quantitative models for valuing unique financial instruments
  • Refine internal modeling methods and workflows
  • Conduct statistical and broader data analyses
  • Communicate analyses and conclusions to internal and external audiences

Requirements

  • Expected graduation between September 2027 and July 2028
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a quantitative field such as finance, statistics, mathematics, economics, or engineering
  • Strong understanding of financial instruments, derivatives valuation theory, and statistical techniques
  • Highly analytical approach with careful attention to detail
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication
  • Experience valuing instruments with nonlinear payoffs—including convertible bonds, warrants, derivatives, earn-outs, and complex capital structures—using closed-form solutions, binomial lattices, and Monte Carlo simulations in Python, R, or Matlab
  • Experience analyzing large datasets with Python and presenting findings through visualization tools such as Tableau
  • Track record of developing or enhancing models and processes that automate recurring calculations with Python and VBA
  • Strong interest in financial markets and data analysis
