Senior Property Claims Specialist – Calgary Hybrid
Manage complex residential property claims for Canadian customers at Intact. Evaluate coverage, damage, reserves, settlements, vendors, and expert input through resolution.
Description
- Evaluate claim information, interpret policy wording, determine coverage, and assess damage for complex residential total losses and scope-and-repair claims.
- Create action plans that address every aspect of each claim.
- Oversee claim finances by setting reserves and delivering prompt, fair settlements in line with Intact policies and standards.
- Give vendors clear, concise guidance and direction.
- Coordinate with consultants, appraisers, engineers, and other specialists to advance claims.
- Deliver high-quality service to internal and external customers.
- Respond to questions about the claims process.
- Keep current with Intact products, appraisal and investigation methods, and service standards.
Requirements
- More than 10 years of property claims-handling experience, including major-loss residential files.
- Catastrophe claims experience is considered an asset.
- Adapt readily and remain agile as the business evolves.
- Communicate effectively in writing and conversation.
- Bring a strong commitment to customer service.
- Work independently and stay effective in a fast-paced setting.
- Use forward-thinking to encourage new ideas.
- Demonstrate excellent organization and a results-focused approach.
- Apply strong negotiation and conflict-management skills.
- Learn and perform effectively in a hybrid work environment.
- Be authorized to work in Canada from the expected start date through the full employment period.
