Senior Facility Management Category Manager - Krakow Onsite

Lead global sourcing, supplier performance, and category strategy for facility management across Hitachi Energy’s industrial sites. Drive cost optimization, compliance, innovation, and operational continuity across multiple countries.

Description

  • Create and execute global category strategies for hard and soft facility management services
  • Direct sourcing and procurement activities for Integrated Facility Management services
  • Assess spend, demand, supplier markets, cost drivers, risks, and emerging FM and IFM technologies
  • Manage multi-country sourcing programs from market engagement and tendering through negotiation, contracting, transition, and implementation
  • Improve costs through supplier consolidation, standardized specifications, and total cost of ownership initiatives
  • Oversee strategic suppliers using performance scorecards, quarterly business reviews, improvement plans, and executive governance
  • Define commercial models, scopes of work, pricing structures, KPIs, SLAs, and continuous-improvement commitments
  • Verify that suppliers meet service quality, operational resilience, HSE, regulatory, sustainability, and contractual standards
  • Advance innovation through AI, IoT, robotics, CAFM, CMMS, predictive maintenance, automation, energy management, and performance analytics
  • Present category strategies, sourcing proposals, risks, and outcomes to senior stakeholders
  • Apply the Continuous Improvement Process Sourcing (CIPS) process and connect sourcing strategies to business priorities
  • Confirm awarded suppliers can meet present and future business capability and capacity requirements
  • Maintain HSE, regulatory, and quality compliance across supplier relationships
  • Partner with Real Estate, Facility Management, HSE, Finance, Legal, and global and regional procurement teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business administration, engineering, facility management, real estate, finance, or a related discipline
  • At least eight years of relevant experience in strategic sourcing, category management, or supplier management
  • Track record managing complex facility service categories across multiple countries or sites
  • Strong knowledge of hard and soft facility management services, commercial models, and supplier delivery structures
  • Demonstrated success developing global category strategies, running competitive tenders, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier performance
  • Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, engineering, energy, or similarly complex environment
  • Strong commercial, analytical, project management, and stakeholder leadership capabilities
  • Ability to influence across functions, countries, and organizational levels in a matrix organization
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Additional language skills are advantageous
